In this introductory class, you will learn how to identify, read, and measure common electronic components such as resistors and capacitors, as well as learn their basic functions (don’t worry, there’s no math involved). You’ll also learn how to solder through the assembly of a small AM/FM radio kit, which will be yours to take home and keep after the class. We will be working with a lot of small components, so we recommend participants bring any readers or magnifiers as may be necessary or beneficial.
The MCCC Makerspace is a resource and gathering place where the community can come together to share skills and equipment while imagining, exploring, creating and designing with people of shared and diverse interests. You’ll have access to the information, tools, software and space you need to learn, invent, make and repair. We can help you bring your ideas from concept to reality. We have curated the following workshops you can attend this semester and create in our Makerspace.
