Acrylic Painting

Create two acrylic “Realism” paintings based on the provided reference photo.  This class is designed for artists who already have some painting experience and would like to learn techniques for achieving realism in their work. Beginners are welcome, but some may find the pace and concepts a bit challenging. Learn how to build rich, believable color; glazing techniques for a luminous effect; atmospheric perspective, and techniques for suggesting detail without overpainting every detail. Also included is info on how to use value in a painting and proper framing and photography of artwork. At the end of class, you will have artwork ready for public display and sale. A material list of the required supplies will be furnished upon registration.
