MCCC is proud to partner with Monroe Aviation to offer an Instrument Pilot Ground School designed to prepare pilots for the FAA Instrument Rating Airman Knowledge Test, one of the key requirements for earning an Instrument Rating. Throughout the program, students will gain a thorough understanding of instrument flight operations, including IFR regulations and procedures, aviation weather, instrument charts and publications, navigation systems, air traffic control operations, flight planning, and aeronautical decision-making. Coursework combines textbooks, lectures, and interactive discussions to build the knowledge necessary for safe and effective flight in instrument meteorological conditions. Successful completion of the course provides the required instructor endorsement to sit for the FAA Instrument Rating Knowledge Exam. Although flight training is not included, the course serves as an excellent complement to instrument flight instruction and provides the foundational knowledge needed to progress toward the FAA Instrument Rating practical test.
